A Winter Storm Warning and a Winter Weather Advisory remain in effect through 11:00 a.m. Monday for central Douglas County and its eastern foothills and for the south- central Oregon coast.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said for the Warning area above 2,500 feet, heavy snow is expected with additional accumulations of 2 to 6 inches. For the Advisory area above 1,000 feet, up to 4 inches of additional snow is forecast.

The Warning areas includes the foothills and mountains above 2,500 feet. The Advisory area is between 1,000 and 2,500 feet and includes Azalea, Glendale, Tiller, Camas Valley, Steamboat, Toketee Falls and portions of Highway 138.

Forecasters said travel could be difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. Those who must travel should keep tire chains, a flashlight, blankets, food, water, medications and a fully charged phone with them.
