In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:
Umpqua Actors Community Theatre opens its production of A Brothers Grimm Adventure Thursday night.
The story involves Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, who were collectors and publishers of fairytales. When a mysterious storyteller arrives to tell them a new story, the real world and the fairytale world collide. The script was written by Martin Follose, who is also directing the play.
100 percent of the ticket sales from A Brothers Grimm Adventure will go to students who are going to New York in 2024. At every performance, there will be silent auction items to bid on to help with the fundraising efforts for the Broadway bound youth. Around 5 baskets per night will be available to bid on.
Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:00 p.m. with Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m. through October 22nd. Tickets are $17 for adults and $12 for children age 12 and under. Purchase tickets by calling 673-2125 or by going to: www.uact.theatre.com
