The Paul Morgan Observatory at Umpqua Community College will have its first public stargazing event of the summer on Friday night.
It will take place from 9:45 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Attendees can join UCC astronomers on a journey across the Milky Way Galaxy and beyond. Bring folding chairs or blankets and watch the sky on the outdoor screen. Parking is limited to the handicapped near the observatory, but ample parking can be found near the tech building with a short walk up the hill to the observatory.
