Roseburg Police are investigating an eluding on foot incident, which took place early Wednesday.
The RPD report said shortly before 4:00 a.m. an officer stopped a pickup for expired registration tags and improper turn signal use in the 400 block of Northeast Housley Avenue. Upon stopping the vehicle, a 26-year old woman jumped out the passenger side door of the vehicle and identified a 35-year old man who she said had been driving and had taken off. Both were suspended drivers, and the vehicle was parked in a stranger’s driveway, blocking the home owners car in. The homeowner did not want the vehicle to stay there, so it was towed and impounded.
Criminal charges are pending a follow-up investigation by RPD.
