A Florence man was jailed by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, charged with third-degree theft of services and for warrants, on Wednesday night.
A DCSO report said the 56-year old had a $40 tab from an establishment in Winchester Bay, and left without paying. Another person at the bar was able to identify the man and tell the deputy where he could be found. He was located at a residence in Florence.
After identifying the man, he was found to have multiple warrants for his arrest. The suspect was allegedly not cooperative and pulled away while being placed in handcuffs. He was not taken to the ground where he was restrained until additional deputies arrived to help place him in handcuffs.
The man was detained without bail.
