The driver was hurt after a pickup left Interstate 5 northbound on Saturday morning.
An Oregon State Police report said the wreck was discovered just after 7:20 a.m. north of the landfill exit, east of the bike path near the South Umpqua River. Earlier in the morning the driver had apparently lost control of the vehicle. It traveled through a fence and struck a tree. The 28-year old Roseburg man was taken to CHI Mercy Medical Center with injuries.
There were several sections of the fence damaged due to the accident. A tow company removed the vehicle. Pictures from the crash scene are at www.541radio.com.
