A deputy with the Douglas County Sherriff’s Office was injured in a late-night crash around 12:00 a.m. Tuesday.
The deputy sustained serious injuries, but is in stable condition according to a post on the DCSO Facebook page. DCSO thanked people who have reached out in support of the deputy and also offered thanks to 911 dispatchers, first responders and the medical staff at CHI Mercy Medical Center for their professionalism.
DCSO is not releasing the name of the deputy at this time out of respect for the privacy of the deputy and their family.
Lieutenant Brad O’Dell told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that information on the accident itself will be released by Oregon State Police.
