Douglas County Commissioners Tom Kress, Chris Boice and Tim Freeman have announced that most county government offices will be closed next Monday, February 20th in observance of President’s Day.

As always, even when the offices are closed, many officials and employees are still working.

Exceptions to the closure includes:

*The Umpqua River Lighthouse Museum will be open for normal business hours

*All county operated parks, campgrounds, and boat ramps will continue to be open and accessible.

*The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office will have deputies, 911 communications and other staff available to continue to provide law enforcement protection and emergency assistance. Those who need assistance should call 911 for emergencies and 440-4471 for non-emergency matters.
