However approximately 29 states and Washington D.C. do not celebrate it.
In Oregon, Monday is Indigenous People’s Day and is a state holiday.
With the two observances, federal and state offices will be closed. Regular mail will not be delivered. Banks and credit unions will not be open.
County and city offices are on their regular schedule. Schools are operating as usual. Most professional offices and retail outlets will be open as normal, though a few could be on a modified schedule.
