The Roseburg City Council approved all items on its short agenda Monday night.
A synopsis from staff said Mayor Larry Rich proclaimed April as Volunteer Recognition Month and urged citizens to recognize the endeavors made by volunteers to enhance the quality of life in the community. Rich proclaimed this month as Oregon Arbor Month and asked citizens to celebrate the entire month by with a focus on all the things that trees do to improve the environment.
Rich proclaimed April 23th through 29th as National Library Week.
A public hearing was held regarding the sale of real property in the 1400 block of Southeast Micelli Street. Councilors adopted a resolution declaring property in the 400 block of Southeast Leland Street as surplus.
Other items were approved as well. The meeting ended at 7:55 p.m. The next council meeting will be Monday April 24th at 7:00 p.m.
