A driver was taken to the hospital after a deer versus vehicle accident on Thursday.
An Oregon State Police report said at about 9:45 a.m. a sedan was eastbound on Highway 42 in the Camas Valley area when a deer entered into its path.
The vehicle struck the deer, causing extensive damage to the front end. The driver’s side air bags deployed, causing a minor laceration to the operator’s ankle. He was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center where he was treated and released.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
