Roseburg Police cited a man for third-degree counts of criminal mischief and theft following a water meter incident on Tuesday.
The RPD report said at 12:25 p.m. officers responded to the 100 block of Northeast Flagg Street. They contacted a 40-year old who admitted to tampering with the device, in an attempt to get water to his residence. The man had allegedly previously damaged the meter and had his water shut off for nonpayment.
He was released after the citation was issued.
