With warm weather in the forecast for a couple more days, staff with the Douglas Forest Protective Association are asking residents to exercise caution when it comes to backyard burning.
Public Information Officer Rachael Pope said it is important to make sure all fires are completely out before leaving them. Pope said debris burning is a major source of escaped fires before fire season officially starts.
