Tickets are still on sale for the 51st annual Greatest of the Grape event, happening this Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Melrose Vineyards.
The Greatest of the Grape is one of the oldest and most prestigious wine events in Oregon, attracting wine enthusiasts from all over the west coast.
It is hosted by the Umpqua Valley Wine Growers Association, with the goal of promoting the region’s wine industry and raising money for the local non-profit organization Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
Greatest of the Grape will highlight the region’s best wine and cuisine, featuring over 18 wineries. Those attending will have the opportunity to taste a variety of award-winning wines – including Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, Syrah and Chardonnay – while enjoying gourmet food. Those looking for more time to taste wine and talk to local wine makers can purchase a VIP ticket for early entrance to the event at 4:00 p.m.
Guests will have the chance to bid on unique wine-related items in the silent auction and participate in a live auction featuring rare and exclusive wines. Music for the event will be provided by Eugene musician Inoke.
Tickets for Greatest of the Grape can be purchased at: https://www.umpquavalleywineries.org/ or in-person at Melrose Vineyards. Updates for the event can be found on the Greatest of the Grape Facebook page for the event.
